List Your Business on What's Poppin GR

Everything you need to build out your business profile, understand your analytics, promote your events, and bring your team on board.

1

Building Your Business Listing

Head to List Your Business to create your listing. (Already listed? See requesting ownership below.) A complete profile helps the community find and trust you, so fill out as much as you can:

  • Website and social media links.
  • Logo, storefront, and gallery image uploads.
  • A description of what you do and what makes you unique.
  • Address(es) for every physical location, plus a defined service area for businesses that travel to customers.
  • Phone number, email, and any other contact info customers should use.
  • Your weekly hours, or "By appointment" / "Hours vary" with a short note on how to reach you.
  • Amenities and features customers can filter by.

You can update any of these details at any time. The Listing Health checklist on your listing's overview shows what's still missing, with a link straight to each one.

2

Understanding Listing Status

On the free plan, our team reviews each new listing before it goes live, usually within 1–2 business days. On any paid plan, your listing is published instantly. Your listing's overview always shows which of these it's in:

  • Pending Review

Submitted and waiting for our team. You can keep editing it in the meantime, and we'll notify you as soon as it's published.

  • Published

Live and visible to everyone in the business directory.

  • Changes Requested

Our team needs a few updates before it can go live. The reviewer's note is shown on your listing's overview. Make the changes, then select Resubmit for Review.

  • Hidden

Taken out of the directory, either because you archived it or because your plan changed (see below). Nothing is deleted. The owner can select Republish on the overview to bring it back, as long as there's a free listing slot.

3

Listing & Image Limits

How many businesses you can list, and how many photos each one can have, depends on your subscription plan:

Business Listings

Each plan includes a set number of listings that can be live or waiting for review at once. Hidden listings don't count, so archiving one frees up a slot. Need more? Upgrade for a higher limit.

Photos per Listing

Each listing has its own photo limit. If you upload more photos than you have room for, we'll add as many as fit and let you know how many didn't make it in.

Moving to a plan with fewer listings? Any listings over the new limit are hidden automatically (your longest-running listings are kept) and we'll let you know which ones. Upgrade again, or archive another listing, to republish them.

You can see the exact limits for each plan on our pricing page.

4

Tracking Your Listing's Performance

Each listing has an Analytics page so you can see how the community is engaging with it, over the last 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or 12 months:

Traffic

Page views, unique visitors, and average time on page, plus your busiest days and hours.

Favorites & Audience

New and total favorites, the kinds of events your fans are into, and how many people your sponsored events have reached.

5

Requesting Ownership of an Existing Listing

See your business already listed, but you don't have access to manage it? Here's how to request ownership:

  1. Open the business's listing page and select Report.
  2. Choose "Me or someone else owns this business" as the reason.
  3. Our team will follow up to verify your connection to the business before granting you access to manage the listing.

Prefer not to use the report tool? You can also send us a direct message with the same request, and we'll walk you through verification from there.

6

Sponsoring Local Events

Show your support for the community by sponsoring events. Sponsors are featured on the event's page, and the events you support appear on your business listing. There are two ways to become a sponsor:

Get Invited

Event organizers can invite your business to sponsor their event. You'll get a notification, and you can accept or decline from your listing's Event Sponsorships tab.

Offer to Sponsor

Found an event you'd like to support? Select Offer to Sponsor on the event's page and add an optional note. The organizer decides whether to accept.

Once both sides agree, the sponsorship goes live:

  • Your logo and a link to your listing appear on the event's page.
  • The event shows up under Events We Support on your business listing.
  • You can review invites, withdraw offers, or end a sponsorship anytime from your Event Sponsorships tab.

Hosting your own event? If you also manage the event, you can add your business as a sponsor from the event's Sponsors tab. It's added instantly, with no approval needed.

Your listing must be published before it can sponsor events. What's Poppin GR doesn't handle any payments or agreements between businesses and organizers. Sponsorships are for recognition only.

7

Inviting Your Team

You don't have to manage your listing alone. From the Business Dashboard, you can invite team members to help maintain it:

  1. Go to your listing's Team page and invite one of your connections, or enter a teammate's email address.
  2. Once they accept, they can help keep your listing up to date and manage event sponsorships, depending on their role.
  3. Change roles or remove people at any time from the same page.

Each team member is given one of these roles:

Owner

Everything an Admin can do, plus archiving and republishing the listing and transferring ownership. Each listing has one owner.

Admin

Can edit listing details, manage the team (including adding and removing members), respond to event sponsorships, and view analytics.

Editor

Can edit listing details, respond to event sponsorships, and view analytics, but can't add or remove team members.

Member

Shows this business on their What's Poppin GR profile. Can't edit the listing.

Owners, Admins, and Editors also receive select notifications, such as when an event organizer invites your business to sponsor an event. Stepping back? The owner can transfer ownership to another team member from the Team page.
